Corrie and the police..

...I've just caught up with last weeks Corrie and I was wondering if in reallity a taped police interview of a murder suspect would be carried out by a Detective Constable and a DS and not by a more senior Inspector or Chief Inspector.Maybe I'm wrong,what do you think...

In my experience interviews were carried out by highly trained Dc's. Senior officers going out investigating crime and doing interviews is something you only see in films and tv.
At least they showed them using tapes, unlike most other Cop shows (Midsomer Murders being the worst culprit).
