...the watch Frank got from his father has been mentioned on a number of occassions as has Frank's love of it .Once when he and Jenny had been together at his house when he didn't realise his mum was there she asked about the missing watch...again his mum asked in the factory and he said he'd spent the previous evening in the bath and an early night...and finally last night when Sally realised the watch wasn't with Frank's personal effects...why because Jenny took it from the body after killing him for the reasons listed in previous posts... imho anyway...

Mmm.
But the mother could also have taken the watch as it belonged to her husband.
But Mike, why on Earth would his mum take the watch? Surely it would eventually be returned to her by the police anyway? I'm sticking with Jenny Sumner.
Yep I also think it's Jenny.Frank was really nasty towards her near the end.
Sorry made a boob,I meant to say I think it was his mum not Jenny.
i have always said the mother!
I think its his mum!
When the watch was mentioned last night, his Mum looked sneaky, but she's looked like that before since he died. Are the writers trying to make us think it's her, or is it her? I think it is by the way!
What possible reason could Jenny have had for hiding in the factory in the first place? No, I'm sticking with mum.
We'll know on Monday !
what programme are you talking about?
corro - what else?!
Yes, I still think its his mother.

She's got the watch thinking the law will think its someone else. Crafty Cow.

What clinched it for me was her hysterical reaction when she heard that Peter had confessed to the murder. Not what you would expect at all - you would have thought she'd be glad that the killer had been caught. Perhaps she has a twinge of conscience after all that someone else is going to pay for her crime.
OK, all you "It was Frank's mum" brigade... Consider this.. Frank has been dead for two weeks now, so how come we've seen hide nor hair of Jenny Sumner since his death? Do you people have a short memory? After conning Carla out of her share of the factory, Frank's intention was to drive off into the sunset with Jenny and leave the factory workers high and dry. But before that happened, Frank was murdered, and suddenly Jenny is nowhere to be seen. She hasn't even popped up as a "concerned friend", doesn't that strike you as odd?

And Mike, when I say Jenny might have been hiding in the factory... Maybe she saw Carla going into the factory and snuck in behind her to find out why she was going there. If that was the case I'm sure we'll find out the reason why when she's finally arrested. I think the "Jenny storyline" is a lot more feasible than the "It was Frank's mother" one. And what would the motive be for Frank's mum being the murderer? I haven't once heard any of you give a good enough reason why it would be her. Please don't say "He was nasty to her" or "She blamed Frank for the death of his Dad" I'm sorry but if that's the best the corrie writers can come up with, then that would have to be one of the worst motives in the history of soap murderers! I believe the writers want the viewers to think it was the mother and it seems to be having the desired effect on a lot of you, but I think you're all in for a rude awakening when the truth finally surfaces. I wonder how many of ones who are cocksure the mother did it will be so quick to hold up their hands and admit they were wrong? Not many, I'll bet!
good points bravejordy!

time will tell ...
I think it is the Mum. Last night the watch was missing and she said she will report it to the police.
The detective turned up at her house last night and did she mention it? Did she hell!
But funnygirl, again this could be a ploy on the writers' part to make you think it was the mother... Think about what I said in my last post. :)
I for one will hold my hands up and admit I was wrong. In fact, so sure am I that I am right that I have stated on another thread that if I should be proved to be wrong I am prepared to display my naked buttocks in Harrod's window. I realise now that that was a foolish thing to do as not many ABers will see it. I therefore propose to display same bare buttocks on AB the moment I am proved wrong (provided the webcam works, of course).
yes, they may be messing with us!

*knows its not real*
