Just looked the profile of Alex Baine who plays Simon and he's described as mixed race plus he has a strong accent probably Bolton and yet the storyline says he spent his first 5 yrs with his mother Lucy in Australia so perhaps a little Australian actor would seem more feasible.
Bring in Jason Donovan as Peter's son!!!
They were both born in 1968 so that sounds about right.

Simon looks quite oriental to me in some respects. Definitely a very 'different' looking child. But he's not black. He's a very good little actor though, I must admit. He could teach the likes of Tracy Barlow, and Rosie Webstera bit about acting.
