the chase
why do some people come on this show when they dont have a clue

I've been on the Chase and despite being an avid quizzer with a good general knowledge, I was absolutely useless. Nerves got the better of me and I was like a rabbit caught in the headlights. In the cash builder round, I panicked and came out with the sort of ridiculous answers that I would be laughing my socks off at home if someone else was coming out with them....

Talking of quiz shows, on Pointless yesterday, a young lady said that she and her partner didn't do well last time because " the category they had was too old for them and it should have been more modern" this time they were first off following the subject of European cities and her complaint was that "it didn't contain any Scandiavian ones" General knowledge???
I remember watching The Chase a while ago and in the 60 second cash builder, the guy answered no questions correctly, so when it came to the offers from the chaser, the contestant had to take a step nearer to the chaser in order to get any money.
He got his next 2 questions wrong, whilst the chaser got them right, so the chaser eliminated him. The only time I've seen a contestant get ALL of his questions wrong lol .........

In the cash builder round, I panicked and came out with the sort of ridiculous answers that I would be laughing my socks off at home if someone else was coming out with them. Then on the actual chase, I didn't know the answer to a single question. Very frustrating as I know that I can do better, but anyone watching (including me) would think I was a complete idiot.
