I used to look forward to Christmas period television. This year had to be the worst ever! I stuck to boxsets and dvd's of programes that I like. I did watch the Russel Crowe version of "Robin Hood" last night which was pretty good, a new take on the original tale, Ridley Scott director. 7/10. I am struggling to think what else I enjoyed to be honest!!

We said the same...terrible tv.
Like they were really struggling to find something to put on.
Most annoying.
Must agree, though I was pleasantly surprised to find a Touch of Frost I had'nt seen.
Yes - where the heck was the James Bond films ?
Where was the comedy? Seems everything was repeats(of more than once!) so it was a big turn-off in our house
The golden moments,
The Gruffalo's child, repeat but so worth it.
UP, fantastic heartwarming animation,
the Royal Ballets production of Alice's adventures in Wonderful
that was quite wonderful

tribute to Clive Dunn
Downton Abbey
last episode of Merlin

The royle family christmas special. The rest was the usual tripe thats on every year
I have to agree, it was rubbish. At one time I looked through all the progs on offer (courtesy of the on screen epg digi box) and apart from bid, QVC etc., there was nothing I had not seen.
room on the broom was the best thing on over the whole 2 weeks!
i missed that, but sure they will do a repeat, same author and illustrator of the Gruffalo.
it's rubbish every year
The best thing on over Christmas was The Rod Stewart Christmas Show from Stirling Castle and that was BEFORE christmas!
Call The Midwife was excellent.
The Royle Family was broccoli... as was Mrs Brownes Boys.

I am well into CBB already. RYLAN to win!! :P xx
It was brill , there was 'the sound of music', several Hugh Grant films and there's always talking to one another, lol!!xx
