I intended to watch it but completely forgot. So, was it as much fun as the trailers suggested that it might be?

Same as Chill. Think I prefer to read or listen to. It didn't grab me at all.
Didn't like it at the beginning, loved it by the end though, will definitely tune in next week!
Wodehouse's 'Blandings' stories were never as strong on plot or characterisation as the 'Jeeves' series but the radio adaptations of them at least left you believing in the characters. The TV version seems very 'two dimensional' to me.
As I long-confirmed Wodehouse fan, it pains me to say this but actually, no it wasn't very good. Better then bloody Downton of course, but anything is better than Downton. At least we didn't hear "learning curve" in Blandings.

I am a huge admirer of Timothy Spall but he is hopelessly mis-cast. Such a pity as we don't see him as much as we should on TV these days. His Barry the Radish in Auf Wiedersehen Pet was just wonderful.

Same goes for Mark Williams as the Butler...just not funny enough I'm afraid.

Jennifer Saunders is much more promising though.

Still, after one episode its difficult to tell....maybe it will improve ?
