New Yes Prime Minster
We've just watched this on Gold, can't make my mind up if I like it. The Sir Humphrey actor is trying very hard to sound like Nigel Hawthorne and the PM, David Haig comes across as a bit more savvy than the old one, but still bit dim. Hopefully, I'll grow to like it, loved the old series.

Maybe call it "Aye sure premmy tell us about "
Like you I loved the old series but not so sure about this new series.
I went to see these two "new" actors when they appeared in Yes Prime Minister on stage in London.
I did not enjoy the stage show that much, and last nights episode one was pretty much the same as the opening 30 minutes or so of the stage show.
The only bit that really made me laugh was when they show the oil pipeline going all over Europe to keep every country happy.
At the end of episode one last night they mention the man from Kurmakistan who has come to Chequers to sign the oil agreement.
He was also in the stage play, and it all got a bit unsavory in the stage play when he said he would not sign the agreement unless they went out and got him a "young girl" so he could have sex with her.
This led to much debate between the PM and Sir Humphrey (and others) about where they would find this "young girl".
I found this all a bit nasty at the time, and in light of the Jimmy Saville situation it is even more unsavory.
So I wonder if they will incluide that situation with the young girl in later episodes of the TV series.
