How many people remember Department S, with Jason King ?

I was idling around in Wiki this morning, as you do. Just drifting around looking for something interesting, and I found Department S.

I had forgotten all about it, as I was a mere boy when it was on the telly all those years ago. But I saw a reference to Peter Wyngarde.

He was a homosexual in the days when people didn't admit to being so. But his predilections were well know in the world of actors.

Apparently his backstage nickname was Putunia Winegum !

I haven't stopped laughing since I read that !
