Bit like Bliar and Alistair Campbell then Venator?
Oh right thanks, pretty mild by today's standards.

@methyl same here, tbh - but i seem to recall the media thought it serious so i really dont know..
This is good - we're talking about real people - keep it up, chaps!!
No idea what that comment is supposed to mean, Venator - was that sarcasm?
The guest presenter uses an autocue venator, the rest give witty answers and wing it in an ad hoc fashion so can hardly be accused of using scriptwriters for their own performances.

It was just a shame that tonight was the unfunniest in a long time.
The funniest person last week was the chap in the audience who shouted "Rather".................
That show takes forever to record though, and loads of repeated takes. I sat through one recording once, must have been about 3 hours recording time, all for a 30 minute show...
I quite liked tonight's HIGNFY, the funniest bit was when they were discussing Blair's comments on Mrs T and someone wondered if he, Blair, would look down on the world with the same views after his demise. The woman with Paul muttered, He'll be looking up not down!
Not seen it yet, we opted for Isaac Newton, so I'll watch the repeat. Shame if it was poor - last week's with Joan Bakewell was brilliant.
Yes he was overpowering and loud even Ian was cringing compared to lasts weeks it was poor. Brian wasn't even funny just held the scripts to his face and read from them in his loud voice.
LG; So that's where you were!
To much "Here I am" about his performances now.
Liked him in Z Cars though.
Used to quite like him but had to turn it off last night as he was embarrassing himself I thought. Though doubt he would notice.

Lol Zebo, I liked the bit where Brian Blessed mentioned that Tony Blair had had a heart operation and Bridget Christie said "What? He had one put in?".

I'm going to watch the Isaac Newton programme later on catch-up.
The programme would have been much more entertaining if Brian Blesed had spoken in a normal level of voice, instead of contantly bellowing throughout it.
Question Author
Thats Brian Blessed for you Heathfield - LOUD!
The first time he was on was very entertaining, and I guess he must have looked at that again and decided that exaggerating what was funny about his presentation back then would make it funnier this time - but it wasn't, quite the reverse.
