Well the prognosis is good.
He will outlive his prostate cancer.
Yes I heard it on the news. He's doing the right thing and making other men aware. Get Well Soon Michael...

He's not a very nice man but I do hope he makes a full recovery.

If they have caught it early enough - and the article suggests they have, then best wishes for a full recovery to him

in the case of my late father, they discovered it too late
I have only just heard this, the outcome looks good though. Get well soon Michael.
Wishing him a speedy recovery.
I'm with Sharingan on this one.

He's not a very nice man\\\

Why isn't he?
Sharingan - That's puzzled me. I have never heard anybody ever say anything bad about Michael Parkinson. Do tell.
I have always been to understand that he's rude, obnoxious and unpleasant by people who have met him. Add the horrible Jade Goody remarks, the money grabbing lack of morals by fronting poor value deals targeted at older people on adverts who will trust him and the fact that he thinks no-one can run a talk show as well as he can ( and goes on endlessly about 'todays' lack of interviewing talent all the time) I would concur that he doesn't seem very nice, although I have never personally met him.
Shari...LOL
as Sqad says, the prognosis is good, and maybe by going public it'll help to raise still further the profile of male cancers, and that guys really should check their bits and go to the doctor if anything worries them about their health.
still it you rummage around old mens underpinnings you will find prostate cancer in quite a few.
What is it they say? You won't die of it, you'll die with it.
Strange comment rowan.
What I am saying is it is a very common cancer and often men have no idea and die of old age or something else before it gets them. I don't think it is especially sad that Parky has it... sad is the rarer cases when a younger man has it... or someone who has no one to support them through treatment and the later stages of the disease....
What an insensitive comment. My father was diagnosed with it 2 years ago and has gone through a lot of pain, not to mention the mental anguish. Age is a BT immaterial.
Zac in defense of rowan, she meant that at an early stage prostate cancer is so slowly growing that even without treatment,it may not kill you.

This clearly was not the same with your father as boney spread can be indeed very painful.
