So he finally got the Red John suspects in one room, there's a gunshot and then the place gets blown up! What do you all think?

I've really enjoyed The Mentalist but I do feel it is all getting a bit silly now. I sincerely hope it draws to a conclusion at the end of this series.

You would think so, Eccles, but there is still a load of episodes to go in this series and yet it looks like he's on the brink of identifying Red John. I must admit, it was better in the early days but I'm still hooked.

I had to go to my bed (up early next day) asked Mr Alba what had happened.
He filled me in, which was a surprise as he's not normally that observant when watching a tv prog.

Am now wondering if Red John is Lisbon and the moniker Red John is just to make folk think that s/he is male.

I don't think we're going to find out who RJ is anytime soon, alba, I thought it was possibly Lisbon too and Patrick Jane.

When we actually find out it'll probably be such a let down, I just hope it's one of these 'no way' moments

Well, we've got it down to a very small handful - I'd assume any NOT in that handful might be excluded via the explosion....

As for the Lisbon thing... I think not, they can't be THAT silly can they?

I sort of wish they'd had 3 good series instead of 7 stretched ones...

Apparently we learn who Red John is in this series. Also Lisbon, Grace and Rigsby are leaving.
