I noticed Monty Don was using a walking cane this evening on tv coverage of Chelsea Flower show - has he had an accident?

I believe he had a stroke sometime ago.

Maybe feeling some of the effects of his stroke a few years back?

Yes he did, but was fully recovered from that; this is a recent problem

Could it have anything to do with the fact he had a minor stroke in 2008
