Could it have been reducing the number of people phoning to enter?

Phone calls bring them money. Online doesn't.
Most of the ITV competitions now are phone, text or post to the PO Box in Derby now. By law, all entries, by whichever method, should have an equal chance of winning, but I'd love to know if anybody has ever won one of the big prizes by postal entry!
I am sure that the Real Deal is the comp with the postal entry with a very unreasonable closing date.

Do you visit Loquax Sandy
Because it was a free entry, the other ways to enter cost £1. Now the only way to enter free is to send a post card, ( which still costs the price of a 1st class stamp)
Very few will risk that as there are only 3 days to get a postal entry in.
It is just to make money, they collect far more in the £1 entry fees than the cost of the prize. I used to enter online but not now.

Wolf, no Loquax is necessary with the ABers to offer help when needed. ☺
Many people have won ITV contests with online entries.
