I have just watched "See No Evil" the ITV serial about the Moors murders.

What an excellent program ! If we can make programs like this, I am not sure why we have to import so much stuff from abroad.

Sean Harris, Maxine Peake, Joanne Froggatt, Matthew McNulty and George Costigan were all marvelous, Costigan especially. ...we should be truly that we have such good character actors in Britain today !

was that the one that was made back in 2006?
Yes, with Joanne Froggat.
It was very good, I've seen it a couple of times.

yes, few years since I watched it, it was good.
We import stuff from abroad because it's often far cheaper than making it here.
Maxine Peak seems to be able to tackle all kinds of roles, Sheridan Smith is developing in the same way. I am amazed when I see Maxine in Dinner Ladies, how time has past!
i really don't know if I could watch this it would really upset me. I agree though the UK makes cracking programmes -Inspector George Gently is one of our favorites, Banished and currently Johnathon Strange and Mr. Norrell . Usa made stuff is chronic i refuse to watch it.
Loved Maxine as barrister in Silk and wish I hadnt watched her Myra Hindley as she acted too convincingly :(

We have such good character actors here in Britain. We should be so grateful. To repeat myself here, with talent like this, we shouldn't have to import all those American programs. Like Retrochic, I rarely watch the Yankie stuff.
