I know I don't have to watch it, but having heard so much hype about it, and not having watched previous years, I have to admit, it's quite boring really. Does anyone else think so ?
I didn't bother watching the last series and haven't watched this either. I'm struggling to bake a decent fruit cake for the village produce show - enough drama going on in my own kitchen!
Totally agree with you!! I've never watched it, but (due to the hype) thought I'd give it a go.....
Don't care for Mel and Sue's innuendo
Paul Hollywood looks 'bored' I find him a bit patronising towards the contestants!
It's not a patch on Masterchef. (Imo)
Watch all the cooking programmes, My Kitchen Rules being my favourite ;)
I like the bake off its not my first choice but the format is good imo and the contestants really do care, always find I shed a tear per episode as things generally go horrible wrong from someone and find their sad faces too much :( my favourite thing about the bake off is the show Jo Brand does a day later with all the highlights :) and the poor rejected baker
I'm quite enjoying the GBBO, but really couldn't be bothered to watch Masterchef any more, I find Gregg Wallace so annoying now. I think that I've got cooking competitions burnout now (apart from GBBO). Bring back the Great British Sewing Bee!
I love the show. As they get rid of contestants each week, they'll be able to spend more air-time with each of those that remain. I also love the little historical pieces every now and then - this week it was how Peek Freans changed the traditional, bland biscuit in 1865.
