She is very pregnant diring the filming of this series which might account for her happiness.
Personally, I don't think it is over the top. It is a very cerebral quiz, so her light heartedness stops it being dull.
She looks just about ready to give birth to me , so perhaps she was a bit hysterical when it was filmed. Watched it last night, managed to get 2 lines on each of the walls and make about 5 of the connections did a bit better on the missing vowels round. Useless but I really enjoy it.
I was pleased when I got a connection that the teams didn't. Mind you, that was the Game for a Laugh one.
I was bit puzzled by some of VCM's jokes, but she's good fun. I usually ff through the chatty bits in other quizzes, but I listen to all of her stuff.
I think it's a brilliant programme. Just wish other quizzes could have that simple format, less of flashing lights and music. I only watch this and UC.
Last night, I solved some of the wall before the contestants, the parts of Greater Manchester, and most of the missing vowels part at the end. I too thought her father, Alan, was wonderful and I like her husband, David Mitchell though they seem to be an odd pairing.
