Getting Old
Really felt my age tonight while watching In It To Win It. Contestant had to really think about how many inches were in a foot. Probably taught only metric which I struggle to get my head around.

My OH is a lot older than me me and is incredulous that I don't know off the top of my head how many feet in a mile, or something. It's no use any more; just leave it.

As part of my job I once delivered a basic maths course. Was told by a couple of students that they didn't know anything about imperial measurements as they had only been taught metric at school. Then asked one how tall she was - 5' 3" was the response. Had no idea what it was in metric measurement.
