What a dreadful place ! The women must be soo hot in all those clothes.

I didn`t watch it but I have been to Bangladesh and I wore my usual travelling attire - jeans and tee shirt. Mind you, jeans are probably a lot hotter to wear than the local garb.

I watched it - thinking that myself and how do they get them (clothes) washed and themselves washed without hardly any sanitation.

JJ - I often think that. As I said, I didn`t watch the programme but a lot of people in the Indian subcontinant have some haplass maid to do their washing for them. Same in the middle east. However, when I have been in the middle of nowhere in Africa, it always amazes me how clean and neat the local`s clothes are.

I did see the programme & enjoyed it. She's a fun, bright personality that comes across well on TV. I suspect the next programmes will be even more interesting as she explores the country away from her family's village.

As to the clothes & the heat, when she arrived she mentioned to her dad how chilly it was in the rain. I thought the women at the pre-wedding do & the wedding itself looked marvellous, so colourful.

So is Nadya travelling around Bangladesh for a TV programme? I wonder if this will help to make some people on AB realise that Muslims are human? I won`t hold my breath. Ignorance can go very deep.

I thoroughly enjoyed Nadiya's programme, it was informative, moving and colourful with great recipe ideas and as I said on another thread the colours of the fabrics were so rich and gorgeous.


She has such a natural charm about her too.
