Maigret Tonight

first was so so, second dull as heck...not Atkinson’s fault. I think they tried too hard to be “authentic"

I watched the first one, last night. I quite enjoyed it, but kept expecting Rowan Atkinson to pull a face or do something funny.

The program captures a French atmosphere . Atkinson does the character of Maigret in a very good manner.

Unwatchable. Atkinson is so worried about looking Bean-like that he doesn't move his face at all and is totally wooden and inert - terrible piece of casting

Well, I quite enjoyed Maigret last night. The productions values were very high, and Atkinson was believable in the title role.

If I ad a criticism, I would say that at 2 hours, it was a bit long....I am sure 90 mins would have been better. All in all pretty good !

I really enjoyed it - great plot, atmospheric. The slow pace suits it - Maigret will not be rushed
