Fed up of it. Every item I buy online, every contact with seemingly every company including the council and utilities results in emails or texts asking for a review.

This can be the day after ordering the item.

How do you deal with this?

Yes I know what you mean.  I even get them after a Doctors appointment asking me to rate them , even when it's one on the phone which it often is these days.

I don't mind a simple check that things are okay but I hate those that turn onto a 20 minute questionnaire where I have to give scores and reasons on so many aspects..  usually on supermarket reviews.

I've had the sixth text asking for a review of an item I bought last week.

If I were going to review it, I would do only after I've used it for a few months. Pointless reviewing something straight out of the box

Yes I ordered a pot of paint and was asked to review its quality on the day it was delivered.

I don't get that many - maybe I don't shop so much. I just ignore them.

With Dave on that one.

Although if in a generous mood with time on my hands I may respond briefly.

I don't trust reviews in any case.  My friends get sent loads of stuff to review, they are told they can keep it if they give a good review otherwise send it back free of charge.

//My friends get sent loads of stuff to review//

How does that work? Nobody sends me anything I haven't paid for!

I occasionally get asked to provide feedback to ebay on items I haven't received yet, last week they wanted feedback on an item that hadn't even been dispatched.

davebro, have you got your own YouTube channel with thousands of subcribers?

Question Author

I hope you did give feedback, vulcan.  A scathing one

Mittyesque.

Question Author

What do you mean by that, douglas?

It doesn't bother me.  I ignore it.

does my loaf in, I usually ignore them.

My delete button is wearing out :0) More of a pain in the neck is when you are viewing a site, and straight away you get a pop up asking you for your opinion of how well the site works, WHAT? I've only been on 15 seconds. :0)

I usually ignore them but, occasionally, if the product or service has been particularly good or bad I will write an honest review. On a couple of occasions, weeks after the purchase, I have been offered the chance to test a new device in exchange for a review; the devices were good and I was able to give them an honest good review.

On the whole, I don't mind them. I really detest the 'please give a reason why you've given that score'

If I feel they can handle the truth, I'll let them know.

Same as you, alba

I wonder why AB don't ask us, How did we do today?
