If you mean the National Television Awards, it's voted for by the public, so all the Eastenders fans have to do is vote.
1.8 million people voted through The Sun newspaper, Heat magazine and the Internet.
I think it says more about the sort of programme those readerships like, rather than the viewing public as a whole.

Why do you think Doctor Who keeps winning ?
