i thought this was going to be the last sopranos but the storyline has been left wide open!! when is the season7 out?

As i understand it the creators wanted this to be the final season but couldnt bring everything together in the usual amount of time that US tv considers a 'season' so they have split this final season into two halves.
Expect the second half of the final season very soon.
