Old and quite obscure childrens tv show

Ok im trying to remember a programme where the were some good animals and some bad ones (rats maybe). This was about 10 years ago on at weekends. Sometimes puppets were used but often REAL animals were also used. The main character was some sort of rodent and i remember he frequently rode a real duck. Anyone even remember it?!

Was it Tales of the Riverbank. I remember that one with real animals in it with Hammy Hamster.

Hmmm unfortunately not, it's not nearly as old and Tales of the Riverbank wasn't nearly as silly or..bad..as the one i remember.. thanks anyway though and you're on the right lines
