why can't you ever see Wilson's mouth, upper lip, and chin. I mean i have caught a glimpse of and there's nothing wrong with it. So why is he always hiding that part?

My wife and I used to watch this show a few years back and just took it to be a sort of running joke within the show.

Tim Allen based the neighbour 'Wilson Wilson' on the man who lived next door to him when he was a little boy. Tim said in an interview that he could never see his neighbours lower face ~ just his eyes ~ as he was too small to see over the fence :o)
