boris the bold

Does anybody else apart from me remember that fab little cartoon Boris the Bold? think it was on BBC - it was in the mid 70s. It was about Boris, the woodcutter and his wife and I'm pretty sure he was Czech. I literally cannot find any info on this cartoon at all - although it's been a few months since I surfed the net for AGES.. still no joy. Have even written to a daily newspapers asking for info thru their questions/answers page - it hasn't been featured yet - have also emailed the BBC but didn't get a reply. Thank you x

For some reason I remember it being called Boris the Bole (as in the trunk of a tree), but I'm not sure that can be right. But a stronger recollection of mine is that the cartoon was narrated in the UK by Johnny "Animal Magic" Morris.
