Why the confusion over eviction and nominations?

I missed tonight's channel 4 show so what happened?!

Jade and Shilpa are up for nomination, but mysteriously it was not announced at the end of the show like it usually is and we get the chance to start voting, something very weird is going on! Reference to the show the usual bullying of Shilpa went on!

Even though the details weren't given out at the end of the show as usual I voted by text , but I got the message " voting has now closed ". Then Russell Brand says there was confusion about nominations and whether there would be evictions. Then we were shown the clip of Jade saying sorry to Shilpa and suddenly the lines are open. Bit of manipulation going on there if you ask me.
