CSI - English Lady

On CSI last week there was an English lady on there, dark brown long hair, really well spoken. (Not louise Lombard, she's the blonde one) it may just have been a bit part for her but she was with the investigators. Anyone know who I mean and if so what is her name and what else has she been in (on UK telly)

She sounded like she was forcing the English pronunciation - I always think that the English try to speak too English when they are on American programmes her accent is a little grating - a bit Hugh Grant'ish - if you know what I mean - but the Americans do like a "typical" English accent.

She is English, so the accent isn't forced, I recognised her from Meet Joe Black with Brad Pitt.
She's the new medical examiner, given up teaching at Columbia to go back into fieldwork, so she'll be a regular for the new series.
Not sure if i'm pleased or not that Mac has a new love interest...

I know she's English - I just thought it would be interesting to hear her normal speaking voice as just because she's English doesn't make her accent in the series authentic in the meaning that she hasn't altered it to sound more stereotypically English. I personally haven't heard an english person talk like she does !!
