Really bugging me - what was the name of the character, she was one of the team, and she was murdered but managed to leave enough clues so the others could find her murderer? I think it was a girl's name that could also be a bloke's name (like Danni, Toni or something like that).

The actress is in Resident Evil which my other half is watching at the moment, but everytime I see her it drives me mad because I can't think of her name.

Her name was Aiden Burn. Mac fired her because she tampered with evidence.

I don't want to ruin your sleep but she wasn't in Resident Evil. She bears a stunning resemblence to Michelle Rodriguez who is in RE but not in CSI.
Easy mistake, don't have nightmares. :)
