Rescue Me
I have watched this from the beginning so I am aware that the show is not always comfortable viewing, and that it tackles some issues other mainstream shows would shy away from - I am also a very big fan of the show. However, this week there was a scene where Tommy raped Janet - my problem with it was that half way through the rape Janet started to enjoy it - now I know it's not real life, but to my mind this was irresponsible. I think there is a danger that this sort of thing fuels the notion held by a small minority, that a women would in fact get pleasure from being raped.
If they wanted to show that Janet still loves/fancies Tommy, it could have been done in a much more sensitive way.
I am also a bit concerned by the sex crazed school teacher (an unfeasibly gorgeous one of course).
And does Tommy ever use a condom?
Do I need to get out more?

You're right about Tommy never removing his pants - I noticed that Franco and Garrety don't either, must be in the firefighters' code.
