When Tracey was ironing, did anyone notice how there was no steam coming out of the iron, and how the iron made no steam noises? The same happened in Eastenders a few weeks ago when Denise was ironing. Clearly a stone cold iron.

They clearly didn't want her burning her arm again!!!
All i can remember from last nights corry was when i put it on i heard the line "date raping roy cropper"sorry but that was enough for me!!LOL:-)
not all irons make steam.

it is a prop, and they are acting.
Yes I noticed that Louise07. But did you notice the sink in Audrey's salon on Friday night . While Maria was washing a womans hair the sink was going up and down.It must have been stuck to the wall double sided sticky tape.
I half expected that when the poor woman got up that the sink would be on her shoulders. It made my family laugh anyway.:-D
joko, how boring are you, we know its a prop and its acting but even when acting its supposed to be as though it was real, and by the way the iron had holes in the bottom to let the steam out thus making it a steam iron
gina - don't start your nonsensical rambling again.

its only a steam iron if you put water in it.

it is dangerous and unnecessary and also impractical to have a working iron on set, and unless it is to be seen close up flattening clothes, you likely wouldn't bother.

most of the plug sockets in the set won't work and it would likely mean runnning an extra extension lead through the set, which could be dangerous.

we have to do this a lot with certain props because of potential problems

guess what - the walls aren't real either!

Then why not use a prop which looks more realistic??!!

The steam could have been switched off. I don't use steam to iron because my iron spits and leaves wet marks.
