Get A Grip
I always knew Ben Elton was unfunny and out of touch, but how unfunny was this show?

It was so scripted, if I was that girl I'd be humiliated to have been bought in as his fall guy. Such an old fasioned set up aswell, old, established male comedian and young, pretty, 'rising' female, while all she really did was set up his self satisfied rhetoric. Terrible.
I think basically it was supposed to be her all modern and calling him "dude" and asking "Yoof" type things and being argumentative and trying too hard to be "in touch" and him being - well him.
It was very cringeworthy and scripted and sh!te !
it's done nothing for the careers of either one of them.

Curlyperm, it was a tv programme on ITV last night, I think it might be a weekly thing. It had Ben Elton and that girl from pop world, I think she's called Alexandra Chung on it as the presenters and they did a comical look at conspiracy theories. As almcd007 says, the girl was meant to come from an amusing youth point of view and Ben Elton was, well, just sh!t really!
