Music in Soaps

Has anyone ever noticed in soaps that when there is an argument in a pub, the background music magically goes off? For example in tonights Coronation Street when Carla was telling Michelle about her brothers, the music on the pub juke box just 'went off'! lol

Yeah lol i notice that too, also they ALWAYS play James Morrisons cd in the Woolpack, and in E/E when they are doing shots of house to house they ALL have the same radio station on playing the same song? Huh must be the only bit of continuity they get right X

has anyone notcied the background songs sometimes match the storyline.....my all time fave was on corrie when clare got her new deirdre style specs.....she went to the cafe and on the radio...."i can see clearly now" was playing...you couldnt make it up!! hee hee
