lifeline ?

i watched a programme about 2 weeks ago, but i never caught the second part and i wondered if anyone could tell me what happened in it ? i think it was called lifeline, about a guy whose girlfreind died and he phoned this number to talk to people in the same situation and so on...
the first part was on a monday and i think the second was a thursday.

He met another girl also supposedly trying to contact someone through lifeline (think she turned up before the end of the first bit) They got involved, she knew loads of stuff about his dead girlfriend and he came to believe that her body was that of a junkie who took an overdose at the time his girlfriend got run over and so it was the girlfriend's spirit in this girl. His brother was suspicious when they suddenly decided to move abroad together and convinced him to try and contact the partner of the dead girlfriend, thinking that the new girl may have been put up to it by him. They found his dead body though and he realised that the spirit was actually his not the girlfriend's. He confronted the girl with this and she admitted it saying the plan was to isolate him from his family then torment him by having affairs so that he understood loss. It ended rather suddenly when they walked out of the restaurant and he pushed the girl under a passing car! That probably sounds particularly confusing since I can't remember any character's names so feel free to ask me to explain any of it better!
