60's childrens tv

Can anyone recall a tv programme from the 60's, it used to be on 5-15 ish from memory, All I can really recall was a parrot that used to say 'squawk piper hiddle diddle heres a riddle'

I don't remember it myself - though I feel I should since it seems to have been shown around the same time as things like Robinson Crusoe and The Flashing Blade.
Anyway, it's called "Mr Piper". Found a couple mentions in other forums....
