As she was married to Frank Butcher, is she technically Peggy Butcher or were they divorced?

I think the idea is that being a member of the Mitchell family supercedes any and all other affiliations.So,even though Peggy may technically be a Butcher,she always has and always will think of herself as a Mitchell.
