bulgaria's forgotton children
i have just seen this film. director kate blewett spent 9 months visiting this institution where 75 childern are confined.
i am just recovering from the appalling conditions and neglect these helpless souls have become acustomed to.
any one else see this programme tonight? any thoughts.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.i watched it, how heartbreaking was it,the children were fed as though it were a race, werent even given time to swallow before the next mouthful came in, i think it was a relief for the children when they died, its disgusting how some were only put in there because they were born deaf or blind and then they end up going mental, it really was heart breaking yet the owner wanted a computer, some of the kids were literally starving to death
yes the director was reluctant to apportion blame to the government when questioned, but said the staff had let her down! the male member who was violent towards the kids had a history of violence apparently, and was dismissed only because the camera crew and kate had found out, he'd been violent towards the kids.
overall i think the neglect/ malnutrition was the greatest shock, all the kids looked emaciated after watching i imagined it was not disimilar to a concentration camp.
i dont mind paying my tv license bill, if stories like this are brought to the publics attention. shocking.
