Just spoke to ordinary people in their homes, or cars. Lots of lingering, static shots of lightswitches, etc. No interviewer was seen (or heard?) and subjects were left to fill the long gaps thereby often becoming quite revealing.

Any ideas? I guess it would have been BBC2 or C4.
