Every time I heard this woman talking it was like listening to an old black and white film where they all spoke funny, really wooden and posh.
Has she gone for good? I found the story line very far fetched where she just walked out of hospital with the baby.

Oh me too, it was enough to assure you (if you had such a thing in mind) that stealing a baby from a hospital is child's play!

And yes, she's very wooden - in fact a generally awful actress, I never found her believable. In fact all that tosh about her leaving Grayson and moving in with Matthew, then Matthew tossing her out and Grayson taking her back under his wing. For God's sake, I can't see what Grayson has done wrong, to be honest, and I think both Purdy and Katie should be very grateful to him, not treating him like the baddie!
Talking of Emmerdale accents, there's one of the King brothers (the one thats not Matthew or Karl) who in every line lapses into a southern accent, and then back to the false northern one that he tries to do. Why don't they get northern actors to play northern people or at least make sure they can do the accent - how one earth did he get the job (definitely not his looks lol - he's got ears like wingnuts).

It's like Val and Diane are sisters but Val is a Geordie and Diane is a Scouse !
Actually she was one of the better actresses in the show especially when she was being dragged into a mental hospital kicking and screaming but an actor and an actress are only as good as the writers and as Emmerdale employ the naffest writers in soap/tv no one is actually any good on that show. They're ALL crap.

Perdy was once nominated for a prestigous Laurence Olivier Award for her performance in a Shakespere play... don't blame the actors, blame the writers.
