Know what you mean puddi, Sgt Troy has the History channel on here mostly. He doesn't mind the occasional costume drama though.
She was on on Saturday! Looking fabulous as usual - thank heavens she never gets voted off!
Question Author
Sorry Andy, not with you! Who was on what? xx
If I wanted to die of boredom or Misery. Is there another writer more Depressing than Hardy ?
Question Author
Leonard Cohen, maybe? :-)
Will give it a go, didn't like the film version of it though
Question Author
The Polanski one, TT? x
Yes I thought it was Polanski. Love the story and other Hardy books, but I didn't enjoy the film at all
Question Author
I loved the film "Jude" with DCI Billsborough (Christopher Eccleston)! He made me laugh when he said he left Dr Who cos he didn't want to become typecast- too late for that, i thought, tee hee.
Andy means Tess on Strictly Come Dancing I think :c)

As to the other Tess then I'm very much looking forward to it and the return of Bruce of Monday.

Hi China. I've just skimmed the Radio Times, and i so hope you mean Bruce Parry and not Forsythe! xx
Tess of the D'Urbervilles is one of my fav books and I liked the Polanski film with Natassja Kinski. Actually I enjoy most period dramas. I found Jane Eyre on Vigins TV on Demand the other day. it was great. You can't get any better than Pride & Prejudice though.
God yes I mean him!

Hiya Tiggs.
Check this out- i loved it xxxhttp://www.imdb.com/title/tt0119079/
Question Author
Also Ethan Frome- fab! http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0106833/
Hi Baths,

I've never seen that. Quite like Ralph Feinnes though. I'm hoping to go and see The Duchess at some point. I read the book about her last year. Didn't realise they were going to make a film about her though.

Is that the one with frozen-faced Keira in? x
Er yes! Lol

I quite like Keira lol
Just seen this bathsheba! I liked Onegin but haven't seen Ethan Frome.
I must admit I do refer to Thomas Hardy as the Master of Misery as you have to admit there aren't many laughs in his books! I did love Far From the Madding Crowd though (I think Alan Bates and Terence Stamp had a lot to do with that!)
