There were loads, weren't there, and I howl with laughter at all of them. However, my favourite has to be the chandelier. You thought you knew what was coming, and then they went and did everything properly - only for Granddad to screw up.

And apparently, in those few moments afterwards, Del and Rodney stood as still as they did up those ladders because they were trying deperately not to collapse into fits of giggles.
2 things when del fell through the bar hatch
and when they were doing the chandelier
and grandad came walking down the stairs and said everyfink alright del?

all funny but mine aint been mentioned yet its a classic im lol now just thinking of it
Triggers medal/broom.
the chandalier episode has just been on uk gold. what a classic. I love every episode bar the last three, i wish they had left it in 1996 with them becoming millionaires.
The birth of baby Damien - or Del, the Yuppie with his filofax, triying to impress the girls and leaning on a bar was wasn't there - but my favourite of all was Raquel singing Roy Orbison's 'Cwying' with the man who couldn't pronouce his 'Rs'. I'm making myself laugh now just thinking about it! Wonderful stuff!
Should have been 'a bar that wasn't there'.

souldriver thats my best scene!!!!!!!!!!!!! how funny is that proper pmpl class!!!!!!!
The chandelier just beats the bar scene IMHO.

"Brace yourself Rodney, brace yourself........."
The one where the blow-up doll pops up from behind the settee.

The subtle ones that never seem to get mentioned like Rodneys wedding - `Charlton` ?
Got to be the chandelier one for me. A couple of months ago we were in a theme park watching loads of kids coming down a steep slide, there were two slides next to each other and a Dad was waiting at the bottom of one for his son to come down, ready to catch him if need be, the boy came whizzing down the other slide and shot past him-there was a chorus of "that was just like the chandelier scene in OFAH" from loads of people, just goes to show how loved the show was.
i love all that you have mentioned, but i remember when rodney won the painting competion and had to pretend he was 14 to go to spain with rachel and del as his parents!!!
Two favourites, both involving Trigger. When the pub regulars are trying to guess what the baby will be called they send Trig up to the bar to find out. He comes back and tells them "If it's a girl they're going to call it Sigourney, after an actress. If it's a boy, they're going to call him Rodney, after Dave".
In the other scene, Rodney's in a fit of depression, so Trig tries to cheer him up by telling him about a guy who was so depressed he drove out to Beachy Head and was about to drive off the cliff when some people talked him round, had a whip round to pay off his debts, etc. Suitably cheered up, Rodney asks who these kind people were. Dell says "All the passengers on his bus". Priceless.
My fave is the 'through the bar flap', but not for Del's fall (brilliant though it is). I love the way Trig looks round, sees Del has gone, looks round for him again (by which time Del is standing up) and Trig does a double take as if Del has appeared from nowhere. Roger Lloyd Pack is one of the unsung heroes of the show!

Having just read all posters' favourite scenes I realise just how many scenes I find hilarious and I had forgotten about.
Agree sddsddean, it's Trig's double take and superb timing in the spin round that adds to the sheer brilliance of the comic moment.
So, to sum up - just can't pick one!!

how about when rodney tells every 1 in the pub he is getting married and every 1 says congrats ....................rodney and cassandra and trig says dave classic
In the bar scene Trig wasn't actually supposed to be there. RLP was filming in another studio and wandered over and ended up being in the scene. Yes his double take and "twirl" is priceless. But don't forget

To Hull and Back when he stops off at an oil rig to ask the way

The luminous paint in the chinese rest kitchens.

Rachel giving birth, Rodney asking what it is, Del replying "its a baby"

Cwying, Cwying - brilliant

Fainting in the Auction rooms (both of them) when the watch was up for auction

After they became millionaires, Del by Rodney a beer cos Rodney bought the "Rolls"

The Bar scene and Cwying have got to be my favourites
