I'm only watching it later cos emmerdale is on for an hour so no spoilers please : ))
And me , I recorded it to watch this morning.
Mine doesn't, but I know a few that do.
It's a soap - so any selblence to reality is tenuous at best.

All the usual issues spring to mind -

If they own houses withing walking distance of a tube line, why are they not all on the market for eight-figure prices?

Why does Phil own three businesses and still live with his mother?

Why does no-one have a washing machine?

Why does Shown always look like he needs a bath?

The list goes on and on.

It's best to simply accept the nonsense before you and either watch it, or not, but analysis is right out - the whol eddifice crumbles within seconds.
andy huges - always a charm to read your messages.. I wish you were my neighbour - I'd spend hours chatting to you.... ;-)
It's like the worst of British life in a microcosm.

Why any of the characters would choose to live there is beyond me, though. It must be the crime/divorce/teenage pregnancy/domestic violence capital of the UK.

And I still love the show.
I also know families that carry on like that.
