Maybe its a good idea its a fresh face, cos he could then bring a whole new side to the doctor, but then i wouldnt have minded sean from eastenders either.........

What a let down. All that hype and anticipation and it's some stupid looking kid I've never heard of or seen before.
I wanted Richard Armitage or Robert Carlyle.

And my God was that a boring programme or what? They kept going on endlessly about the journey this Matt Smith was about to go on. It's a role not a real trip into space!

I hope he'll visit the barbers before he starts.

I agree, Robert Carlyle would have made a brilliant doctor. The BBC is just too bothered about what the younger generation think so they've brought in some floppy haired underwear model wannabe. Why should the actual integrity of the show and its characters matter!!!
