I enjoyed it - lots of characters and sets but not too confusing, and the lead was played in a fabulously understated way.

She portrayed disccomfort, vulnerability and a touch of menace very well indeed.
I agree with Ethel - a very understated performane from Suranne Jones. Can't wait til the next episode.

Totally agree Ethel. It's gripping stuff ! It took me ages to think who that other woman was and where I had seen her before, then it suddenly dawned on me....Benidorm !!
Although I did on occasion find Suranne Jones a little difficult to understand - but perhaps that's because I'm a southerner.

I generally find anything with Peter Davison in is worth watching.
Actually Julius - that actress is the only one I have difficulty with in her role - I have seen her in umpteen other things - and all of them comedies with her playing some frumpy common-as-muck woman - I can't get used to her with a slightly posh accent & being suposedly middle-class & normal (even though she does talk to poltergeists!)

I think that's why it took me so long to twig who she was !!
I really enjoyed it. It held my attention all the way through. I thought Suranne Jones was brilliant in the part, which was so different from her usual roles.

as there are another 2 episodes in the series ,it can't be as simple as girl murders 2 policemen ,does her time and comes out , there must be some plot twists somewhere
