What happened to Survivors

Did this programme end just before Christmas as it was the end of the season or have I missed something..

The last I can remember is the Scottish woman, cant remember her name, being kidnapped and taken into a Helicopter by the Government...

Can anyone shed any light on this for me please..I will be gutted if I have missed the remainder of the series.

I think that was the last episode (with the shootout on the rooftop).
The last shot of the first series was of a boy and a man on horseback (in France I think), the man called the boy Peter, thereby implying that it is Peter Grant that Abbey had been searching for all series (I think there was a shot of a rucksack with that name on it too).
A second series has been commissioned.
