The actor who played the father of the doctor who makes loads of mistakes-what did he used to be in, it's driving me nuts trying to place him.

I seem to remember him a long time ago in Where the Heart Is.

Wasn't he in Corrie, the father of the twins whose wife died after the car crash caused by Terry Duckworth.

Yes, it is Ian Mercer, who played Gary Mallett in Corrie, married to Judy who collapsed and died after a blood clot in her leg caused by a dodgy motor that Terry got for Vera.

Oh well done Lankeela! That was truly driving me mad, usually something comes back to me eventually but I just couldn't get that one. He's much fuller in the face now but yes I can certainly remember him as Gary Mallet.
