Rescue Me

I have just started to watch "Rescue Me I have started on Season 5 ,who is the Artist who plays on the opening credits also one of the guys forms a band ,does this guy have a band outside of acting ,any information would be good.
Also could you please tell me which Season we are on in the Uk and the USA.

2) Yes, called Apache Stone (I think it's them as "the band" in the show; they are on MySpace etc
3) UK - no season, Sky used to show it but gave up after (I think) Season 3, anything else remains unbroadcast over here; USA - Season 5, Episode 14 was on earlier this week in the US
