Documentary about Sisters
Can anyone remember a documentary from a few years ago, where 3 or 4 sisters, reminisced about their lives.
One of the younger sisters didn't pass her 11+, married beneath her or so her family thought. And had a life of grinding poverty, but a happy marriage.
Whereas the eldest daughter passed her 11+, went to a better school, had more advantages in life. But her life was marred because the nurses mixed the babies up in the hospital. Nobody believed her, even though her own mother had picked the right baby.
She kept in touch with the other mother and eventually the truth came out due to family resemblances. By which time it was too late, her daughter stayed with the family that raised her. And the daughter she raised went to live with them too.
The sisters have probably all gone now, but I often wondered what happened to them after the documentary.
