How do Airmiles work?

I am going on a fair few trips lately, and wondered how I go about collecting airmiles generally to pay for them, what is the best course of action? Do I need to guy everyting on a credit card? Someone please explain, the website has confused me!

Well the first think to check is whether your particular credit card gives Air Miles. If it does then yes, you need to spend money on your CC in order to collect Air Miles.

If you shop at Tesco you can change your quarterly reward into Airmiles, you get 60 for every 2.50 reward
