I have literally just finished watching The Pride of Britain Awards. And I am quite confused; at the end of the programme they mentioned some more heroic acts including a vicious dog attack and someone fighting back a burgular but they did not go into them. The programme ended and I was wondering whether maybe there was a follow up on next wednesday or something because it seemed strange that they would mention more heroic acts but then end the programme! Can anyone explain to me what that last bit was about?
the programme was filmed monday night and edited to fit into 2 hours tonight so they showed majority of awards but not all. on a seperate note.....noel connolly, the marine who rugby tackled a suicide bomber in afgfhanistan and presented an award by ray winstone is my cousins uncle!
I was miffed as well chocolate. In the clips all week, they\'ve been showing a lad with a big grin on his face and I had the feeling he was a soldier, as I think I\'ve seen him in the papers. Was he in last night\'s programme? No! Why show him in the clip if he\'s not in the programme?
I agree. I know they have to make it fit into a 2 hour timescale but if they stopped wasting time telling us what we are about to see before every advert break, they could have shown more. I don't WANT to know what I'm going to see in three minutes time. I'm quite happy to wait and see what comes on. I'm not going to start watching something else am I ? Grrrrr!!!
What a stupid thing to do! Why show clips throughout the programme but they never got shown??? It beats me! I completely agree with all of you and I was actually looking forward to watching those heroic acts that never got shown!
P.S anderlee, say Well Done to Noel Conolly from me and my family who thought he was very brave! :)
I missed this programme but it sounds as if the makers have joined the ever increasing trend of treating the viewer as having a mental age of six and a memory capacity of a goldfish.More and more we are told whats coming up after the adverts and then, after them, a recap of whats gone before. As been said,if this was cut out we might see more of the programme.
