I think they choose outrageous gays just like they choose everyone on the Coach Trip,to cause the most possible friction,in the hope of good televison.
Sometimes it works,sometimes it falls flat.
There ARE nice calm non effeminate gays out there (my Grandson amongst them)but they would be "interesting" for a programme such as this.
BTW,my Grandson and his partner took me out to a gay bar two weeks ago,and someone tried to pick me up,not bad for a str8 guy of 87! LOL
